The “true” cinnamon of commerce comes from Sri
Lanka and is the unique spice for which the
island is best known. Cinnamon cultivated in Sri
Lanka is “coppiced” regularly and maintained as
a bushy clump of shoots.
The leaves when distilled gives the Cinnamon
Leaf Oil which one of the largest productions
of essential oils from Sri Lanka to the world
market.
